I may know everything there is to know about baseball, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Or like him. Garrett Reeves: sidelined player and the embodiment of everything I've learned to hate about baseball. He's gorgeous, he's cocky, he's laser-focused on getting back in the game, no matter the cost.

When he convinces me to call games alongside him, our chemistry heats up the booth. We're good together, whether I want to admit it or not. I'm finding that I like baseball again, but even worse, I'm liking Garrett. A lot.

But when he has to decide between our future and a new shot at his dreams, I know baseball will win out every time.

So funny so good the romance in this book is just so on point the emotions that the characters experience is so real

I don’t like that the mother parented in such a way that she allowed her daughter to be timid about her future. Comparing everything Garrett did or said to her father killed me. I also hated that she poisoned Mai’s relationship with Anthony. If you and your mother want to live out of fear, sure have fun but Mai should have stood up for her relationship with Anthony. Every internal monologue was Josie wanting to dream and soar but dowsing her own flames because it’s what her mother taught her. Very sad. As a parent you should encourage your child to take leaps and risks while always knowing that you will catch them if they fall. Chapter 47 was exhausting because her mother brainwashed her to think one specific way for the last 5yrs and then she magically turns into team Garrett off page from a single encounter? Overall the book was okay.

Good story

This was a clean romance, full of figuring things out, with a focus on baseball. I enjoyed the read.
