Virtual voices have improved significantly over the years. This one wasn't horrible, but it's also not good. I got through half the box set before calling it quits. The story was decent but an "decent" story + less than average narration just wasn't cutting it.

The bad AI reading

I feel like the story has real potential. And I've been gritting my teeth and making it through this because I like the story. I really want to like it.

The AI reading is horrible. It's not changing between the various voices. I'm often losing track of who is speaking. I don't know what the accent is supposed to be but it doesn't sound like Southern white women.

This is not the first time I've found AI to not support the author and the book due to it's inability to change voices to fit the characters. at this point this voice sounds like a reading out loud style versus a performance.

It’s okay

I enjoy the story but don’t care for the ai- narrator. It’s hard to tell the difference between characters in conversations at times. There are times through out that you could forget you’re listening to an ai-narrator but then it would mispronounce a word in a way that a human wouldn’t. There is some slight inflection to help add emphasis in sentences but nothing that adds to the story and help bring you into the book and the characters all have the same voice . Over all it’s really not too bad to the point where I can’t finish it, would have definitely been better with a real person though.

the auto narration spoiled the flow, just not the same, NO EMOTIONS falls flat could have been a great one.

bad voice

i did not listen to the third book because the voice is terrible. using the wrong sound of the word for the technically, right word in the sentence It just doesn't fly. It's confusing, though, your brain does some correction. On that, I don't have time to be bothered. I can't say that I will be listening to too many more virtual voice books.

Second point.The voice and accent et cetera is not appropriate for the area.The characters are supposed to be in.So if you're just going to read the book, read the book because. pausing is off. Pacing is off.
I can't tell character changes because no pause at the very least.
