Complicating matters is the recent appointment of a new detective by the police chief. Described as tall, dark, and irresistibly handsome, he is equally relentless in his pursuit of justice. With his eye set on Allie as the prime suspect, the stakes have never been higher.

As the investigation unfolds, Allie and Lucy are thrust into a race against time to find the real perpetrator. An unflattering orange prison jumpsuit threatens to become Allie’s new reality—she must prove her innocence before it’s too late. Can Allie clear her name, or will the true killer remain at large, leaving her to face the consequences?

Ruined by virtual voice

The story was kinda fun but extremely hard to listen to due to the narration. The writing was ok, and had it been narrated by someone who could properly convey the spirit and voice changes it may have been a better listen.

Good story! Terrible narration.

The story was a nice story and a good length. I really don’t like computerized narration. I think I will read the stories still but maybe not on audio

Great story with suspense.

I liked the twist in this story but I am with everyone else, too bad virtual voice read it.
