Following Duke’s failed rise to power, everyone assumed that the would-be Alpha was dead, having died to the foaming disease that was, by nature, incurable. In an effort to prevent someone like Duke from taking control again, Step is selected to begin training to be the next Alpha of Solum. However, as the pup struggles to balance his regular training with the new duties thrust upon him, it quickly becomes apparent that not all is as it seems. Food supplies begin to mysteriously dwindle, a patrol disappears without a trace, and many more Caelum dogs have begun to be spotted near the border. Delta is planning something, and whatever it is, it won’t be good for anyone. Tensions are high and the war that had been only narrowly avoided before now seems inevitable.
