Mateo Lopez, honorably discharged from the Marine Corps on medical leave, is struggling to rebuild his life. Where's the second half of the book?

This book started wonderfully. We are just getting to know the characters and looking forward to how they would heal. Then ... nothing. It ends abruptly. It seems like the second half of the book is missing. I would have liked to see how the characters came together.

This is an incomplete story. I was very disappointed. I am glad I picked it with Audible Escape otherwise, it would have been a wasted credit.
