Murder wasn't exactly legal in any of the regions, and I was the best murderer in the cluster. Once upon a time, I had dreams, desires, but they vanished in a puff of asteroid dust when Binja Tur got his hands on me. Now, I kill for pay, mindlessly snuffing out the lives of people I have never met. If given the opportunity, I would escape all this bloodshed, and rekindle my lost hopes, but you don't plan for the impossible. Then, she came into my life, and I had to make a choice - remain a slave to Tur, or risk it all and run. My name is Laoise Rek, and this is just the beginning.

This is the first story I've read/listened to by this artist. This was a unique story and while I didn't "feel" the first part it did end up pulling me in.

As for the narrator...I'm on the fence. She has a smooth voice if that makes sense, yet it almost seemed, at least to me, that perhaps she was bored or just not all that into the story herself. I can say that I wasn't a fan of her male character voices. Just thinking about them now has me chuckling. I'm sorry but those had to have been the funniest guys I've ever heard especially one that Alisha killed using the string while giving the massage. Hilarious voice!

Pretty good story here!
