Can you escape your past's ghosts?

Poland, World War II. A desperate young Jewish woman sacrifices her life to save her baby twins from the terrible death that awaits them.

Decades later, in New York, Rabbi Jeremiah Neumann discovers the existence of his long lost twin. He rushes headlong to meet him - but is shocked to discover that his identical twin is a priest.

The two brothers travel to Poland to find out who they truly are. Minute by minute, they uncover the terrible secret of their bloodcurdling heritage. A long-dormant evil is resurrected, and once again threatens to take the twins' lives. Will they survive the new storm?

At God's Mercy is a captivating book that is hard to put down. It will take you deep behind the frontiers of human atrocity, where cruelty meets courage, and faith meets fate. Its chilling storyline bites hard at religious establishment and raises hard questions regarding Judaism, Christianity, human nature, faith, and existence.

The narrator has a good voice for audio books, but so far, it's kind of flat; maybe ...it will get better. Is there such a thing as a group of narrators, like a radio show? Later on this book

German twins are separated at birth. They are each adopted by separate families. One raised in a Jewish household , the other in a Christian family. They meet later in life after learning they have a twin. The differences are immediately evident , of course . But what is interesting are the similarities. I loved everything about this book. I had no favorite character, as I believe all were very good and kind people. The narration was very well suited for this book. Even those who are not into WWII stories will enjoy this book, as that is definitely not the focus of this book. Would recommend to everyone. At God's Mercy gives you hope that different religious beliefs need not lead to hatred as long as their beliefs are for mankind.

Soon riveted to the twists and turns. Not a book I could listen to while doing something else. I found myself rewinding and relistening.

Riveting!

An amazing book. Beyond anything I could hand.anticipated. I don't know if it is based in a true story, but I can see it being so. Strongly demonstrates the extremes of which mankind is capable. Strongly demonstrates the goodness of mankind. Strongly demonstrates the role of a Higher Power (whatever your faith may be) in our lives. Excellent writing and performance. Thank you!
