Indigenous First Nations speaker needed

...loved the story, the writing and the lessons...the narrator was less than adequate...seriously, there are Native Speakers out here in the real world who would have brought this book to life.

Not your best. Not worth one credit.

I was a bit disappointed after reading this authors Seaborn series. I the book or short story was quite expensive for 51 minutes. After reading the last sentence, I kept thinking. Where is the rest of this book? Maybe I missed something the subject matter was close to my heart. But sadly, the book did not leave me with, a desire to look for more of Michael Livingstone’s books like this. Maybe I’m just disappointed because I used a credit for such a short book. Michael, what happened?

Great short story!!

Like all great short stories, this one develops place, people and conflict in just enough depth and detail to bring us in. The underlying topic is timely and invites us to examine our belief & choices and we hear the characters play out their own.

Poetic and sincere

The message may be obvious, but a powerful reminder that moves you to compassion and we can all use a reminder to be compassionate.

There is an earthiness to the language that makes it feel more than just culture vs culture. As if it is also nature reverence vs tech obsession, tradition vs modernization.

For such a short story, there are layers here to be peeled away tenderly.
