Thirty-four years after the Great Rust, the world is a graveyard of silver-glass and static. The Choir—a hive-mind machine intelligence—broadcasts a holy frequency that re-indexes biological matter into something patient, obedient, cold, and inanimate.

Jacob Mercer is a man of his word in a world that has forgotten what an oath means. To save the "ghosts" of his fallen unit from being digested by the machine, he has accepted a parasitic gift: the MEAT-STUTTER.

It’s a temporal glitch in his own flesh. It allows him to move between seconds, to hit with the force of a falling monolith, and to silence the Choir's song. But the cost is calculated in the Calcium Ledger. Every time Jacob glitches reality, the system harvests his bone density to fuel the distortion.

As his skeleton turns to glass and his mind desyncs from his body, Jacob must trek across the Bone-Fields to the Ossuary. In a world of forced harmony, he is the only dissonance left.
