Deb Hunt
Author Deb Hunt sets out to discover what makes our Australian farming families tick.
Travelling to properties across the country - from a vast, dusty cattle run in outback Queensland to the wheat belt of Western Australia and dairy farms in Tasmania - and introducing us to eight different families who survive and thrive on the land, these stories provide a window into a way of life that defines the Australian spirit at its best.

Critic reviews
"Their stories are intense, their lives epic in quality...eight gripping tales." ( The Australian)
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
the book is a bunch of several interviews of australian farmers, stories and how it is to live in a farm in a remote location.I'm interested in plants and growing some (in a small city apartment) and this book gave me perspective on what's it like to farm.
like that to be competitive you'll need equipment (tractors, irrigations etc) and that to be profitable you'll need more land since the prices and profits of (almost everything) dropped since the last generation.
in short, farming (and living in a remote location) isn't romantic.
