What if we showed up everyday to be a better version of ourselves? Not losing ground, but gaining more each day. More knowledge, more understanding, more real-world skills. That is my reason for this book and my reason behind the MzeroA Online Ground School. My goal throughout this book is to keep you inspired throughout the process of pursuing Aviation Mastery. Mastery in aviation, or any other pursuit, doesn’t have a finish line. It’s an ongoing process. This book isn’t just filled with heartfelt messages like “just keep at it and you’ll get there”. It is filled with the science of learning and the science of aviation safety from my experience of now over 10,000 hours as a pilot and flight instructor.

Such a great study of decision making in aviation. The examples really grabbed my attention and illustrated why we learn the things we (hopefully) learn from our cfi and even more importantly, master their execution.

Should be considered essential

There was anything that I’d call revolutionary, but there were many points that stuck out to me as good things to bring up to students as a CFI and perhaps ways to phrase things differently to maybe help a student grasp a concept a little better. As stated many times in the book, no one will ever be a “master” aviator, but as long as you never stop learning and being committed to safety you’re on the right path. So of the case studies in the book were actually ones that I brought up on my CFI checkride that the examiner seemed to be very impressed with my knowledge and assessment of which I do think helped my standing in that particular case, so it was fun to see those case studies come up again. And if you need a tip for your CFI checkride there it is!

Very insightful

I enjoyed this book because it looks into aviation accidents for the purpose of learning in the same manner i always have. Jason Schapperts books, and especialy the audiobooks for me have been an amazing study tool on my journey through my pilot career.

Jason Schapperts books are all great learning resources

Jason is clearly a good pilot who loves aviation; however, this book doesn't provide anything new or insightful. It's significantly over-priced; this content couldn't easily been provided on a one-hour podcast.

Good message, but nothing new
