Upon the Pearl of Red Duchess, a group of teens is confronted with a dark fate. A mysterious specter in purple robes and a golden mask lurks about, causing mischief and mayhem. However, it is when the Captain of the pirate ship, The Black Sister, approaches that things take a turn to the strange. Did I mention she is a vampire?

Follow along as Seamus, Henri and Una set sail on the adventure of a lifetime that will put even the bonds of friendship to the test.

This was perhaps all my favorite stories to date. I loved the relationships between the main three characters, how they interact with the rest of the world, and the different viewpoints they had from their upbringings. I love the trial and error style of storytelling, I especially loved the awkward conflict that led to.

A Wild Nautical Tale of Friendship and Discovery

I really loved my experience reading Azure Tides. David Trotter has an incredible ability to create a world that feels deep, ancient, and alive, and I found myself getting completely pulled into it from the beginning.

What stood out to me the most was how layered the characters are. Each perspective added something new to the story, and I enjoyed seeing how their choices and motivations slowly connected to a much larger picture. It made the story feel both personal and epic at the same time. Henri is my favorite :)

I also appreciated the pacing. Instead of rushing through events, the story unfolds gradually, like a tide slowly coming in. That approach gave me time to really settle into the world and understand the stakes. When the bigger moments happen, they feel earned and impactful even in a shorter book.

Another thing I loved was how the book hints at deeper history and lore without overwhelming me. I constantly felt like there was more beneath the surface waiting to be discovered, which kept me curious and excited to keep reading.

Overall, I found Azure Tides to be a rich and immersive fantasy with compelling characters and a world that feels much bigger than what’s on the page. It left me eager to see where the story goes next

A fantasy that pulls you in like a tide!

Love how the author portrayed the friendship of young friends and built in the insecurity’s of young passion. The story was so good. And what a Cliff hanger of an ending. I’m on the edge of my seat to listen to the next book of the series!

What a thriller!
