It could have been a tale twisted over time, but it was a risk Kallan wasn’t willing to take.

Getting rid of the recruiters was bad enough, but a new problem arose to pile onto the rest of his burdens. Dorian Dobb’s mysterious disappearance signaled the bank to demand his loan be paid in full, which fell upon Kallan’s landlord, Madalynn Dobbs, who had become a cherished friend to Kallan.
