Viji, the elder sister, and Jeya the younger one were like two bodies having a single soul. But it was so before Viji gets married. Jeya does not like Vaidy, the man who came to 'see' Viji as part of the arranged marriage proposal. In Jeya's judgment, Vaidi is no match for her fairy elder sister. But none in the family give any heed to her objections, treating her to be immature. Viji marries Vaidi, giving her full consent. Jeya gets angry with her sister; she feels pity for her; she feels sorry for her. Jeya goes for a job and she meets Selvakumar, as part of her company dealings. She falls in love with Selva. Jeya could not stop comparing Selva's handsome looks, smartness, and manliness with those of Vaidi and she feels proud of her choice. But it soon turns out that Vaidi becomes a villain in her love affair.
