Translated by Joseph Smith, it records God’s dealings with ancient peoples in the Americas, including the Nephites, Lamanites, and Jaredites. The book was printed with great sacrifice, especially by Martin Harris, and has since been widely distributed around the world. It stands as a key scripture in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teaching principles of faith, revelation, and the divinity of Jesus Christ.
