BEWARE THE ATTIC

The things in Gram’s attic were never supposed to wake up.

But they did.

Shadows stretch where nothing should move. Toys whisper when no one’s there. And something heavy drags across the floorboards after midnight.

Gram’s attic was always off-limits. Dusty. Locked. Forgotten.

Until Gram sends BJ upstairs for a jar of pickled okra, of all things.

BJ and his two best friends barely escape, and they swear they’ll never go back.

Ever.

But when the house starts changing, when the laughter follows them downstairs, they realize the attic isn’t done with them.

Late into the night, trunks creak open on their own. Wind-up toys march without being wound. Stationary object take flight. A mannequin comes roaring to life. And something tall and wrong moves behind the hanging coats, something that wasn’t there before.

The boys try to forget what happened that fateful night and move on with their lives, but the attic doesn’t stay upstairs.

It spreads, as shadows crawl down the walls and laughter echoes through heating vents.

The attic is awake.

And it’s hungry.

The only question is…

Who will it choose first?
