I’ve read plenty of Ethan Blackwood’s “Bigfoot” themed novels. Most all of them I recall involve a Bigfoot. And not just any Bigfoot, nope, he writes monstrous Bigfoots. Bigfoots with large black talons, red glowing eyes, hulk-like strength and who can shrug off bullets & most other wounds. What’s worse, his Bigfoots have a horrifying desire to frighten, capture, torture and sometimes eat puny humans. This book has none of that. This book’s Bigfoot is an intelligent, soulful and empathetic creature. So, you can imagine after reading / listening to this “book” I had a nice warmth glowing from the middle of my chest. Usually his books leave me shuddering & in need of therapy. This book is like therapy.
