Cynthia is 21, bored and desperately waiting for something big to happen. Unemployed and living with her father, her existence is self-absorbed yet meaningless; her days absorbed by reality TV, social media and an obsession with her striking fitness instructor Anahera.

When Cynthia suggests they run away together, it’s not long before Anahera arrives at her door, ready to throw in the towel on her job and her marriage. With the contents of her father’s bank account and her beloved dog Snot-head in tow, Cynthia escapes with Anahera to the beautiful Paihia, where they dock their new home - a claustrophobic old boat named Baby. Here, Cynthia dreams they will live in an idyllic state of love, but fails to consider several factors - and it’s not long before events on an empty island turn their life together in a different direction.
