Oh my gosh I was so excited to start this series cause FELICE, FOOTBALL, KAAAALE… and guess what? I was NOT disappointed. We got adorable himbo, nerdy, somft owner, forbidden office romance…. Lots of canoodling, tons of big emotions, lots of personal growth, TONS of 🌶️ (like for real, Felice gave me SO much r1mm1ng I was on cloud 9) and GUYS KALE’S VOICE IS JUST SO SEGGSY I CANNOT EVEN 🥵🥵🥵🥵

Okay the book.

It opens with Hayden losing his exec assistant job and going to work out his feelings with a hookup at the club except he sees a cute guy getting büllied and he’s like nah fam and just swoops in like a white knight and it’s all sizzling chemistry as he takes home the cute nerdy man except that man is a 🦁 in bed RAWR

They part ways but neither can get over that night.

Hayden puts out feelers for job placement and gets an interview with a young gay Football owner who just took over for his late father. It’s messy and he’d need a lot of help pushing out the toxic “Old Guard” who are spiteful that he took over, But Hayden is really good at his job, and really eager to help.

So you know where this is going. It’s very GASPS IN SPANISH as Hayden realizes that Armand, the owner is his hookup. And he’s still hot as ever.

He gets hired but they make a pact that “things” can never happen again.

But we all know that doesn’t happen either.

Armie needs a friend more than anything as he’s bullied by the board and everyone plots against him and sets about his downfall but Hayden is extremely protective of his gentle souled boss and does everything in his power to help him succeed as a co-worker, a lover, and as a friend.

His reward is watching this man grow more confident and bolder every day and willfully strong arming his own vision into pläy at work with outstanding results.

But also their chemistry is SO HOT. and the scenes are muy picante and Felice, you are an artist and I adore your work. I’ll be re-reading this one MANY times for just how soft, hot and protective the vibes are.

KALE I SWEAR YOU ARE SO AMAZING IN EVERY AUDIO. HOW.

I love this simple little book that takes place in the corporate world of professional sports. kale Williams does a spectacular job of narrating. he simply gets better and better, year after year. I'm a sucker for a corporate, forced proximity romance. I also enjoyed the switch up with the main characters roles and their non-standard corporate positions. there are a few minor flaws with the story, and anyone looking for a lot of action won't find it here, but the writing is first rate and keeps you engaged throughout the entire book. a little bit of corporate Intrigue also makes the story interesting.
