When Max travels to Georgia to visit his grandparents and attend his cousin's wedding, he finds trouble quickly. The first night of his visit, Max goes with his family to his grandfather's church, where he is soon drawn into intrigue when a teenage girl is found murdered in the church's baptistery. Max is drawn deeper into the case and finds secrets and lies buried beneath the surface.

Get to know Max Sawyer. He's part Travis McGee, part Nick Charles with a wandering spirit like Jack Reacher. He is the latest crime fighter with an unquenchable thirst for justice as well as an unquenchable thirst for bourbon.

The Blood series is the newest murder mystery novels to come on the scene with Max Sawyer as the suave detective. If you enjoy Lee Child or Robert Crais, then check out Max Sawyer in Baptism of Blood.

Max didn’t want to say yes, yet, didn’t feel he should say no to his grandmother’s request, A week of being totally bored for the wedding of a cousin. With Max,seems like trouble happens around him. A baptistery held the murder of a young teen. The police say differently then Max. He finds more secrets, and mayhem in this Georgia town. Enjoyed the audio by Doug Briggs he had a good voice and he added the tension of the story. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Excellent Story & Narration

The readers sounded to old for the characters. Older than the characters in the book and would never try to read as a 30 or even 40 something!

The story wasn’t bad.
