So when Queenie wins first place in a feline beauty contest at the county fair, Arthur expects her to be snootier than ever. (Even though she barely beat out another cat who looked almost exactly like her.) Yet when Queenie returns from the fair, she seems oddly nice and sociable - almost like she's had a personality change! The humans chalk up Queenie's good mood to her recent win, but Arthur knows the truth. He can tell from the smell that this friendly Queenie is an imposter!

Yet before he can decide what to do, Cuthbert the clown - the only one who knows what's really going on - turns up missing. Arthur wants to help his humans find Cuthbert, but he has seen some disturbing things they have not. Can he solve a mystery on his own? Or will he have to accept that he needs Queenie as much as he needs bacon?

Queen is and Arthur - what a team! loved the twists and turns this "tail" took. And Arthur gets to be a K9, love it

Captivating

This was probably written with younger readers in mind, but I enjoyed it immensely.very good characters, fine mystery and great performance

A Fun Read

Not a deep mystery but fun. Dog and cat running the show was entertaining. Sometimes I need light and happily ever after. 😊

Quinn novels, Chet and Bernie mystery books are my favorite. Thankfully he writes and continues to give his fans a woofable treat. Highly recommended. Thank you Audible and Spencer Quinn. I needed this.

This series is narrated by two voice artists both with significant voice fry, unpleasant, grating, irritating and annoying

Excellent series by a talented, prolific and versatile author, sadly paired with two narrators, both with significant voice fry, making listening to this fun story very unpleasant, so grating and annoying. Oh where is Jim Frangione when you need him. I am confident that he could successfully perform, Queenie and Author far far better
