While on a ski vacation in Switzerland, beautiful model Adele Marriot meets Dr. Stefan Soivak. He tells her of his discovery of an operating technique that will keep her forever thin. Adele agrees to have the operation and enters the doctor’s clinic.

Once there, Adele realizes she is virtually a prisoner. Against her will, she undergoes the operation. When she recovers she finds she has been used for evil purposes. To cure one of his wealthy vampire patients, the evil doctor has turned Adele herself into one of the living dead.

Adele manages to escape and flees to Collinwood to gain the help of Barnabas and Quentin Collins. Little does she realize that by doing so, she places herself and her two friends in the worst danger of their strange lives.

Great story

The last of the great 32 Dark Shadows paperback novels. This is a really different story and wonderful to listen to. Highly recommended.

They Save the Best for last!

This was my favorite of the Dark Shadows book (I have them all). When I saw this book deeply discounted on the Audibles sale I knew I just had to buy it. I love that it was narrated by KLS aka Maggie Evan. I must admit that I could practically recite the book from memory. I liked how the Dark Shadow theme played at the beginning and end of the book. This is a great book for those of us who ran home after school to watch Dark Shadows after school and others who discover DS later. Five Stars (or Vampires) on this book.

I have really enjoyed this series, it's sad because I think this is the last one. I've liked every one of these books and have enjoyed the narrator.
