Great story and character development

As a Draconis player in the table top I have thoroughly enjoyed this book. Its well written and naration is perfect.

good finale to the first era of battletech fiction.

as a Stand-alone work, this one has flaws. it assumes prior knowledge of Charette's earlier work "Wolves on the Border" as well as Michael Stackpole's Warrior trilogy. at the time of this review, those books are not available on Audible.

Kozak and James are able to provide a variety of voices for the many characters who appear, but Kozak's narration is occasionally stilted and monotone. James's character voice work is particularly adept.

Solid performance; story goes sideways after Vega

Another great job by the voice talent! The story was coherent up until they left Vega, then it jumps all over. A good survey of the Combine, but an unsatisfying narrative.

Publish all the legends audiobooks so we can buy them!

I finished the entire Liaden audiobook series in less than 2 months and I love BattleTech so let me buy all your books again!
