Love isn't always pretty - especially not when you fall for a Beast. I ran like hell from the tragedy in my past. I didn't slow down, and I didn't look back. But I couldn't outrun the memories...or escape the nightmares. I came to North Carolina to be alone.

Hayden Graham attracts problems like a magnet. She's a complication I don't need. This time, the mess she's in has put her life in danger. What she needs is a hero to rescue her. But I'm no knight in shining armor. I'm a wounded animal - a Beast. She tastes like Heaven. She only adds to my Hell. She makes me want things that I can't have, things I'll never deserve.

Love isn't always pretty. Sometimes it's hard. Sometimes it's rough. And sometimes...it's f--king dirty.

I love a good MC story and this audible performance is outstanding! Joe and Maxine are the perfect duet for this book. Jordan Marie is new to me and now I'm wondering how I've missed all this deliciousness that is Beast!!

loved it!!!

... Beast and Beauty's story took me. Much like Skull and Beth, the story of Michael and Hayden has left me emotionally wrecked. Jordan Marie weaves such beautiful stories that you will run through every emotion and feeling ever written in the dictionary. Beast's pain from losing his daughter, Beauty's trauma from abuse... There should only be happiness for these two in the end.

And of course, Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden gave me, the listener, another wonderful experience with their narration.

Jordan Marie, you rock!

What an emotional journey

This book was not what I was expecting. Michael aka Beast is not the type of hero that you will fall in love with. In fact the last few minutes of the book actually made me hate him. But the story between Hayden and Michael has definitely got me hooked and I will be listening to the next buck to find out how it’s all going to end.

This book was intense from the start! I'm glad there is a second part because these two characters have so much to learn to move forward in life. Beauty and Beast have a long way to reach their happily ever after, and they will eventually get there. It seems that the only way they can be together is if they fight their demons together because their bond is strong to withstand anything. They are definitely strong when they are alone because they have endured so much and survived so much, however they too need to live their lives. They can't just survive, they have to LIVE life. They both help each other in this department.

The performance was great for both narrators. They did an amazing job conveying these complicated and damaged characters. I would definitely listen to it again!

The Pain Is Fucking Real!
