Beautifully written, inspiring story

This book had so many different facets to it. Shelly went through a lot of really difficult things in her childhood, and her adult life, and the way that she walks us through the story, but does it in such a sensitive way to help us still have hope and to feel inspired, it’s amazing. This is a memoir every adult needs to read. And I loved the narrators performance! This is the first one of her books that I’ve listen to and she is phenomenal. I’m gonna look for more books by this narrator too.

Heartbreaking, shocking and inspiring

This book was so hard to put down. The heartbreak of her family falling apart, the shocking revelation of her childhood experiences and the inspiring fight to stop the blame and break through knowing none of what has happened his her fault. I have not been through half of what Shelly has endured but I feel her words have encouraged me to forgive, let it go. What a great memoir!
