Cory is the golden boy. He lives a charmed existence. That is until a disturbing revelation and an accident drastically alters his life.
Suddenly, he is no longer sure if his friends and teammates will remain true or turn on him if they discover his secrets.
From the outside, Cory’s life appears perfect. Only Cory knows that couldn’t be further from the truth.

a beautiful but sad story

In “Beautiful”, you have a story that incurs a kind of tragedy, which the character and his friends and family learn to deal and cope with. The characters have personality, and of course there’s a bit of promiscuousness as there always is with Mark Roeder’s books.
For me, the coolest part of this particular Audible production was the use of actual classical music audio samples! We heard “Claire de Lune” by Debussy, “Nocturne in E-Flat” by Chopin, among many others that were incorporated into the storyline; it was a very cool addition that helps to introduce a very important character later on in the book.
Like many great books, you get conflict, trial and strife, heartbreak, romance, and tragedy. I encourage any young person to young adult, whether they’re LGBT, an ally, or just enjoys a good read/listen.
