Beauty and the Beast is the third volume of Not Quite the Fairy Tale. However, it's a stand-alone. I do recommend listening to at least Cinderella first, to "get" the world...but it's not necessary. Believe me, you'll enjoy it regardless. Beware of strong language and sexual situations.

Can't Wait for the Whole Collection

I have the whole collection of this series on my kindle. I can't wait until I own all the audiobooks for this series. They are a wonderful retelling of fairy tales told for adults

Great read

Love May's sassy characters and story line. Her twist of this classic take was awesome. I couldn't put it down. Highly recommend this book.

unique story I enjoy twisted fairy tales 😋

A lot of books are hard to stay interested for me unless I stumble upon a true treasure of a book that creates such a book hangover that my imagination is on overdrive pondering how the story would and should continue.

12-14-19 listened to some of the later books first and then this one. This is much longer than the later ones. love everything I've heard so far captivating, light, funny, zero tears, interesting

7-6-21 re-listened again. 18 stars. Love this story! So many smiles. I have completely decided Lucy Rivers is the single best female narrator EVER. Peace

At least it was consensual

Like the original fairy tale, this beast is all bark and no bite. They may let it appear that Belle is giving him her body in exchange for her brother’s debts, but their eventual get togethers are consensual. Unfortunately, that’s the best I can say about this odd sex club, urban fantasy variation of Beauty and the Beast.
