Belle didn't mean to veer off the road.

It was the little boy standing in the middle of the road that made her swerve her motorcycle down the embankment as she made her escape.

"You hit your head pretty hard," her rescuer's voice fades as she follows the boy into the woods, the one her rescuer said didn't exist.

The boy guides her to his castle in the woods, where the two must face a terrible beast, and unlock a dark family secret in order to survive.

A contemporary take on Beauty and the Beast with a literary twist.

A cute and short twisted tale of your fairytale love. There were some similarities in here to tie this story to the actual Beauty and the Beast. The author placed the constructs as per the short story premise and did not complicate things by having too many characters, which I think was a smart move. I wished the story was a little longer though, as I was enjoying reading it.

This is a very short story. It is a little like the Beauty and the Beast, but it just seemed weird. It seems like the beast is a boy and there are even more rules.

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

Short but okay

I enjoyed this retelling of an old fairytale. This rendition was very short. Although there were some elements from the original fairytale, this tale was a clever and unique reimagining. I appreciated the beautiful and descriptive words that helped to paint pictures within my imagination. I recommend this short story to others who enjoy this genre. Droyer D. Conley's narration was fine. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

This was a short story that was about a curse that was wrongly cast. I enjoyed it and the author did a great job.

Great short story

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairy tale so when I saw this, I was really interested in seeing how this one will go. It was a quick listen but I found it very interesting. In my opinion, the author did a very good job weaving the story. Some parts even seems to have other fairy tales weaved into it. Very cleverly done as it kept my attention, wanting to know what happens next. The narrator also did a very good job drawing me in and engaged in the story. If you love fairy tales and have an hour or so to spare, this is a nice, quick book to listen to.
