Couldn’t stop listening amazing

Beautiful writing. Loved the book !
I loved how the author didn’t keep repeating herself like so many do

Heartbreaking, exhilarating, hopeful… Lina is a complex heroine I fell in live with. She is written smart and strong, healing from injustices done to her. She is the heart and soul of this wonderful story.

Love Charmaine’s writing. This story was raw and emotional. The plot was good. Definitely lots of triggers. I found myself hating Damien.
The negatives, the internal monologue, just went on and on… this (audio) book should have been at least (2 hours) a 100 pages shorter.
The female narrator, halfway through, I just couldn’t stomach her voice! The lag and over dramatic pauses! I swear she made it even longer than it should have been! I was grinding my teeth trying to endure her voice!
As a South African, I can tell you, they got the Durban accent so wrong 😝

was not impressed with the female and male readers made the story drag on

Plot was good but the decisions that the characters made was super frustrating. I wouldn't listen to it more than once.
