Three doctors, a realtor, a contractor, and a pro shooter/model, make up the couples who had been lifelong friends and pooled their money to prepare for hard times. They soon find out money cannot buy you everything, even safety and security.

A jealous rancher wants to buy their land and does not want to take “no” for an answer. More than once, Lyle and his family are found on the wrong side of the fence. With human remains found on the new property, the mystery deepens, as the world around them slowly descends into chaos.

Great story line with real current events mixed in. As always Kevin Pierce the voice of the apocalypse did a fantastic job.

I absolutely love Boyd’s creative mind! The new characters in this book are well thought out and incredibly interesting. As always Kevin Pierce delivered an amazing performance!

Scary potential legitimate issue nowadays

I really liked this book given the current times and how fast performative allyship is a true issue people who just want to be left alone have to deal with. It's relatable because I'd be willing to go to the same lengths for me and mine.
