Keeper, Book Two

After Shenshee and her friends send not one but two demons to the Netherworld, she feels she can finally relax. But Sir Torgus, her teacher that doesn’t seem to like her, shows up and demands she be schooled by him during the summer season.

Zeela Slitten then claims that her grandfather owes a large amount of money. Zeela wants Shen to give up her grandfather’s cabin, but Shen refuses. Shenshee is then obligated to work for Zeela until the debt is paid off.

Just as she gets used to the idea of not having a life of her own, she discovers there is another threat: A demon is endangering her and the whole town.

Somehow, Shen needs to find a way to distract the demon while she works out a plan to defeat him. But the task seems impossible; she’s so tired and hungry. Could she give up the cabin and maybe find a way of keeping the portals? She would then be free to concentrate on the demon.
