great little review before travel - short & sweet

Nice basic facts about Belize - only 6 chapters, easy to get through. Learned a few things.

Excellent quick summary of Belize

This book answered many of my questions, however, I've heard conflicting reports about crime in Belize, especially the Gangs in Belize City and Safety...I would have liked to learn more honest information about that concerning issue.

All in all, this book got me even more excited to move there this October.

Simple overview of the country

If you know nothing about Belize and want someone to read you a simple, Wikipedia- like overview, this book is for you. I was hoping for more travel information that would help me decide where in Belize to visit, perhaps describing the atmosphere of towns, culture, food, and activities beyond the one most popular activity in each location. It's dry and not engaging. I can't tell if the author has actually been to Belize.
