She’s the enemy...I’m not supposed to want her.

A dragon and a werewolf would be disastrous together.
But my blood boils when her family tries to force her to be with another wolf.
I’ll save Mary from such a fate.
Her hypnotic eyes and supple skin is all I ever think about.
My life would be worthless without her in it.
But she needs to trust me...and let me protect her.
Will she let me risk my life for her sake?
Or will her love for me come in the way of our future together?

This is a steamy paranormal shifter fantasy romance series with an HEA and no cliff-hangers.

Fans of Terry Bolryder, T. S. Joyce, Candace Ayers, Zoe Chant, and Harmony Raines will like this shifter series.

While I feel the narrator did a fine job, nobody edited the production. The entire Chapter 5 is missing. Also, there are times when the narrator repeats himself and restarts that haven't been edited out. You can even hear him turn pages. To me, this is ridiculous. It is the same as paying for an item that has a large part missing and is defective. Do better by consumers, Audible.

Good Story, Disappointing Production

Bennet is a dragon shifter and Mary is a wolf shifter. These two should not be fated for each other, right? Wrong. They both knew as soon as they saw each other that they were destined mates. So why is Mary trying so hard to deny it? She has some good reasons. Her family is cray cray, especially her father who wants her to mate with a wolf from another pack in order to get some backup against the dragons. He has kept her a virtual prisoner for most of her life and she just got away from him. If he finds out she is not only staying with the dragons he hates but in love with one, he will not take it well at all. As in he will try to kill Bennet and she really does not want that to happen. What's a girl to do?

I liked this book. Mary is strong and will do anything to stay out of her father's clutches, anything except sacrifice Bennet. I thought there was a little too much talking about everlasting devotion, yada, yada, but that is just me. I was not impressed by the narrator of this one. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
