It’s the voices

The story was good but I kept getting the two main characters confused because they were identical. You ever watched a reality show where they interview the person and their answers are mechanical and every statement feels like a question towards the end of the sentence their voice goes up high. If you can get passed that it’s a good story.

A State of Grace

Grace Maldonado is managing partner of her three woman law firm. When her best friend’s sister is forced to flee Crimea on the middle of the night without her passport, Grace agrees to fly to London to help her and try to get her back to Austin. Perry Campbell is not just an annoying little sister anymore but a dynamic beautiful woman and activist lawyer. When Perry’s childhood crush blossoms and Grace’s attraction is in full swing will they be able to navigate the storm? Great series.

Carsen Taite never fails to fall on the “well written” scale for me. I always think, this is a good writer. The story is predictable in a good way. I like this series a lot. Her other series are a must, too!

Loved this third book

All tree books were wonderful, I loved the story line and I loved the characters, mostly the way Grace changed through the story. Paige McKinney is one of my favorite narrators so that was a great match.

rushed

So, I've listened to all in this series and I loved the main couple pairing but this story felt rushed and I had a hard time getting into it. Especially after longing for this couple from the first birthday video call Perry had with her family.

I didn't like the rift btwn the two sisters and not enough family/ friendship play. I missed that. Especially since the first two books were so good at that.
