Fleeing a city that has become too dangerous to call home, Sarah McAllister leaves Boston after her parents arrange her marriage to a man she barely knows. Shaken but determined, she arrives in Riley Springs, Texas, only to find her betrothed missing and her future uncertain. Can a chance encounter with a charming cowboy forever change her destiny?

Eli Carter is a hard-working rancher bound by duty, faith, and a promise made long ago. With a troubled family and a growing ranch to protect, marriage was never part of his plans. But when he comes upon a stranded young woman in need of help, Eli finds himself drawn into her troubles and quietly unsettled by feelings his heart cannot resist…

As outlaws threaten the town and the truth about Sarah’s missing fiancé begins to unravel, an undeniable bond starts to form between them. In a land where trust can be deadly and love comes at a cost, Sarah and Eli must decide if their hearts are worth the risk and whether God’s plan may be leading them to each other after all.

"Betrothed to the Wrong Rancher" is a historical romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Loved Eli and Sarah’s unusual story. There were a few twists to keep you guessing. Loved the spiritual parts, very natural and not preachy. Loved the surprise toward the end. Even though I had begun to think about it I wasn’t 100%sure until right before they revealed it.
