I have a lot of names these days—including my own, real name. Unfortunately for me, someone else knows that name too; not to mention the names of my other heirling friends. Now those heirling friends have disappeared, stolen by the current King Behind for a fight to the death where only one contender to the throne remains.

The rules say there's no way in and only one way out of that fight, but I've always preferred to work outside the rules. I just have to trust my friends to help each other stay alive long enough for me to get them out-without becoming a contender for the throne myself.

Because one thing is for sure: I am absolutely not planning on being the next King Behind.

Fun twists!

I fell in love with this series and this book didn’t disappoint! I absolutely loved it!

Story and narration

It is rare for the story to be enhanced by the narration, and the narration enhanced by the story. The characters are well rounded and the narrator really brings out their personalities! It is a wonderful!

The Rnge of Plot and Characters

Although I am writing about this last book, this review really applies to the whole series. The author applied great imagination to the plot and the characters. Book to book she further developed the plot and fleshed out the characters. I loved her writing, which was well-organized and pithy. And the narrator was perfect for this series.

Great Ending

Once I got to this book I was obsessed and loosing sleep to finish. Very few series can hook me in and this one did. The story had such great pacing for the last book, it was fast but it didn’t feel too rushed, it was like all the pieces finally fitting together. Really enjoyed the series as a whole and will be looking into the authors other works.

Unique and enjoyable

I thoroughly enjoyed the twistiness of the story and the narrator, great job! I'm sure I will go around saying Oi! and kangaroos in your upper paddock for several weeks 😁 Wonderful world and character building.
