It's nearly impossible to talk about science fiction without talking about Philip K. Dick. Even if one hasn't devoured any of his books, Hollywood has given his novels and short stories countless treatments. This audiobook, performed with a delightful vigor by Cindy Hardin Killavey, is a window to where it all started for the master of sci-fi. Beyond Lies the Wub is the first published piece from Dick and is the story of a space crew who, while visiting Mars, buy an enormous, seemingly oafish space creature known as a "wub". As the creature's intelligence is slowly revealed, however, tensions rise and the crew must decide what to do with the sensitive wub.
