In New York City in 2059, someone is pursuing missing gems from a decades-old heist...someone who's willing to kill for them. Sharp-witted and sexy, NYPSD Lieutenant Eve Dallas is used to travelling in the shadowy corners outside the law. And in a future where crime meets cutting-edge technology, she will attempt to track down the diamonds once and for all - and stop the danger and death that have surrounded them for years.

As usual Erickson does a great job. Having just recently listened to book 54 it’s funny listening to this one where Peabody is a newly minted detective!
The story is twisty with interesting theories working through. Fun to see Eve’s process throughout, especially juxtaposed with killer’s POV.
Enjoyed this second of a two parter.

Fascinating plot

Every once and awhile I love a kick-back book that entertains me while not challenging me in any way. This whole series qualifies. The narrator is absolutely perfect for this genre. Yes there is some gratuitous sex from time to time, but what one of us doesn't secretly like a little bit of that.
If you want to be in a true, happy brainless state for a short period, these books are consistently excellent.
