Jace Bennett is the kind of man you'll love forever.
Tall, dark, and brooding, he makes your lashes flutter and your heart pound.
It could be that slow, sexy smile or his filthy, dirty mouth. It could be the way he makes you feel like you're the only one who matters. Or maybe it's because just one smoldering look makes you go weak in the knees.
I haven't seen him since the day I walked away. And yet seeing him now, I can't deny I want him back.
No matter how much time passes, he'll always be the hot college guy sitting on the counter at a frat house drinking a beer...the one I knew I wanted to marry before I said hello.
But from what I can tell, to him, I'm just somebody he used to know. The thing that sucks about love is that there's never any going back. But somehow I'll have to learn to deal with that because, like it or not, I'm stuck with him - or rather, he's stuck with me. You see I'm his new employee - the one he unknowingly hired to help save his company...and this time I'm not going anywhere.

What an annoying female character

They meet again about 10 years later. Both have kids now and their kids are the same age and so cute. They meet in part because of their children and also, end up working together. Their chemistry is well written and definitely hot and I liked how their relationship evolved the second time. There are flashbacks that show how their relationship first developed which I wasn't a huge fan of but overall, it wasn't too intrusive.
I listened to the audiobook via Audible Escape and I wanted to listen especially because Teddy Hamilton was narrating. Of course he was perfect. He plays both male and female characters so well! Ava Lucas had such a fantastic female voice- beautifully emotions and so easy to listen to. I felt like her male voice was a bit too gravelly but it was still a good narration overall.
Good steamy second chance romance

JUST WOW!

Jace was so easy to fall in love with. He was a true gentleman. The way he was with his daughter and how his feelings for his late wife played a big part in his future endeared him to me. I also really liked Hannah. She was a survivor and equally great with her own child. The two of them had a second chance at love, but almost ten years had past. They weren't the same people, or were they? Would they be able to find a future despite how their past had ended? Theirs was an emotional story and I really enjoyed it.
The narration by both authors was spot on. They were able to convey the emotion the characters felt. I thought they also did a great job with the children's voices as well. I definitely recommend listening to this one!!

Where do I start with this book. Good grief. I bought this series during the big sale and because..Teddy Hamilton. Performance was outstanding, as expected, but this book was beyond misery. The behavior was juvenile and their whirlwind relationships from beginning to end was like whiplash with its constant turmoil. I didn’t even look forward to their “happy ending” and preferred it didn’t happen.
The whole threesome situation was a three ring circus. Threesomes aren’t usually my thing but I can listen when I chose: however,, this book made it uncomfortable as hell. They weren’t all willing participates in a true sense and it just felt wrong to even listen. Then bring Ethan and Fiona into their hot mess circus- I was waiting for it to be a foursome- I’m convinced it will be in the next book ha! I forwarded through the retelling of Ethan, Hannah and Jace encounters, I just couldn’t handle it, it felt depraved. Honestly, I couldn’t listen to most of the intimate scenes because the relationships of these characters were not healthy. I admit I’m not an angst romance lover but this was beyond typical angst.
The only part of the storyline that was relatable was Jace’s struggling with his feelings about being widowed and loving someone else. I would have loved to hear that he went tho therapy in this book -they all needed it!
I’m nervous to start the last book. It’ll be a while before I go for it. Need some romcoms to offset this sadness.
