At the turn of the century two friends escape society to recluse in a cabin in the mountains of Montana for nine months. When their time in Montana comes to an end, one of them is invited to live in the biggest city in the United States. This book is a journal of the mind for a young man in his early twenties taking a pause in life to live in a cabin in Montana.  His writing reflects a slow blend of mild madness and truly reveals the essence of cabin fever.  Days of adventure, goals, vivid dreams, longing for girls, and humorous activities.  It's tailed off by a move to NYC to advance his drumming career and articulates the struggles of being a broke musician in a heavily populated and downtrodden section of Queens.  Overall, it is a true escape from reality from start to finish.

Matthew S. Newbold reads this book with a fine knack for capturing the author's voice, his sentiments, and the ever-changing moods.  An absolute must-listen.
