In the Land of Thune, adventure awaits...

Billy the Barbarian is an Isekai adventure story about a normal man from our Earth whose destiny changes when he gets snatched up by the gods of a magical world. He then wakes up to find himself in a strange, cruel land known as Thune to the locals. It turns out the gods of Thune have pretty big plans for Billy, and before he knows it he's swept up into an adventure the likes of which you've never seen before.

Along the way, Billy absorbs cores that enhance his powers, defeats other gods, and develops quite the following of romantically devoted heroines—all powerful warriors in their own right. This is a tale of love, adventure, loss, and triumph in primitive world.

This was an action packed adventure that I truly enjoyed, the adventures the high points and low points that slowly molded Billy to the hero of legend!

I'm glad this was in omnibus format - it consists of many mini-books, each only a few hours long, too short to stand alone.

It wasn't bad. The bit with the wizard in the tower was unusually creative and interesting.

On the other hand, the final book in the series seemed completely unnecessary and anticlimactic.

And what is up with Billy - sometimes he's an absolute clueless idiot, sometimes keenly insightful and cunning.

Decently entertaining on the whole. Not amazing, but definitely not bad.

Billy gets sent to another world and adventures his way through gods, women and monsters.
So nice to have all the stories in one book.
I really like this series. It's so much fun.
I give this awesome HaremLit series a 7.5 out of 5 stars.

A rock star in the stone age.

I was expecting a more comedic approach to the Conan archetype. What I got was a surprisingly darker story than I expected. My one gripe with it is clearly the characters care about their mistakes but the story seems to demand they keep making them. Not awful at all just wasn’t expecting it. Narrators do a good job and the mc voice is funny (I hope that’s what they were going for)

Not quite what I expected
