Forests, birds, winds and even wild crickets - this audio track has it all to get you in the mood for a relaxed, disturbance-free state of mind. This recording moves from gentle birdsong to occasional wind whistles intertwined with distinctive comforting chirps of forest crickets. This perfect natural combination will effectively block urban noises or distracting human chatter and provide a calm, peaceful background for work or relaxation.

Here's a selection of individual birds you may be able to hear in this recording: Vesper Sparrow, Western Kingbird, Northern Harrier, Rufous Hummingbird, Greater Roadrunner, Virginia Rail, Great Horned Owl, Warbling Vireo, American Bittern, Purple Finch, Pacific Wren, Wilson's Warbler, Bald Eagle, Northern Flicker, and a variety of smaller ground and aerial forest creatures and plants.

I like a little background noise when I'm writing and this soundtrack an a few others by the same producer works great. wish it were longer, but an easy fix is just replaying it.

Great soundtrack for writing

Sound mixing is fine, thus my 3 stars for performance. However, it's clear that separate tracks were mixed and this is not a recording from nature. Crickets are nocturnal, birds are diurnal. When I bought the recording, I thought that I'd hear crickets separately from birds - as it would be in nature. Instead there is the very unnatural sound of crickets chirping while birds are happily singing. It's just weird.

I got this based on the title . I got it to help me sleep , instead of using the TV to help me fall asleep. The first night I used it I set my tablet for a lower volume and settled back to go to sleep . All I heard was the wind with an occasional Whoo - Whoo of an Owl , no birds , no crickets . It was nice . The next night I tried it again . This time I did hear the birds and the crickets . The problem was the volume on my tablet was still set higher due to other books I had been listening to . The problem with this is the fact that with the volume set high enough to hear them then the wind sounds like a hurricane bowing through a forest .

slightly disappointed
