Cassie Everett never believed in vampires, until one nearly drains her in a dark alley. She survives, barely, only to discover that the blood bond formed between her and her attacker is permanent. Worse? He’s not thrilled about it either.

Lucien Drake has spent centuries avoiding drama, romance, and messy entanglements with mortals. So when a snarky human becomes his accidental bonded mate, he’s ready to have the bond reversed. Until he realizes Cassie might be the key to a rising war he thought was buried centuries ago.

As dark forces close in and Cassie’s dormant powers awaken, the pair are forced into a reluctant partnership. The partnership quickly turns into something neither expected. Love. Loyalty. Lust. And a whole lot of flaming sarcasm.

When ancient enemies threaten to use Cassie’s blood to resurrect a legendary vampire overlord, the bond between them becomes more than inconvenient. It becomes the world’s last hope.

Perfect for fans of enemies to lovers, fated mates, and slow-burn vampire romance with plenty of heat, sass, and sharp-toothed tension.

This could have been good but the female main character’s CONSTANT sarcasm, quips, and overall annoying personality made me turn it off. The things she said were so cringey and it was truly nonstop. I’ve never been so irritated listening to a book.
