Bitter or Better by Casey Conrad was absolutely captivating. Casey doesn’t just tell a story, she pulls you straight into it with honesty, humor, and heart. Her storytelling feels natural and deeply human.

I laughed, I shed a few tears, and I found myself resonating with parts of her journey in unexpected ways. While our stories are different, certain moments connected with me as the daughter of an alcoholic mother, and that made the experience even more meaningful.

I finished about 75% of the book on a flight home because I couldn’t put it down, and I finished the remaining 25% the very next day because I needed to know how it ended.

This book is real, riveting, and beautifully told. It’s a powerful reminder that life will hand you hard things, but you still get to choose, bitter or better.

Casey's narration was full of emotion and animation that made it sound like we were sitting in a living room and she was telling the story. I am sure this was a difficult book to write and share, the lessons and reminders were excellent! "Your life is not a dress rehearsal" will be a line I won't forget! Everyone goes through challenges in life and these lessons can be applied in so many ways. Thank you, Casey, for this book. It truly touched my heart and came at a perfect time in my life to hear this.
