Getting better

Fun characters, a bit too romancy at times but fun in general. this one jumps over into explicit sex, fyi. Ending on this one really draws one into next book. I hope the eventual payoff is worth it. The crime mystery, 4/5th of the book was just ok. The bigger plot element is more interesting and town character seem best part.

Black Wings, Grey Skies (Black Hat Bureau Book #4 ) ❤️‍❤️‍ absolutely loved this book!! I totally enjoyed listening 🎧 and reading this book to this series!!! The story line is engrossing and the characters are well developed. I can't wait to start reading and listening to the next book in the series! This book �� was an incredible cliff-hanger that leaves you begging for more. Definitely recommend this series and Hailey Edwards -she is amazing author....

The crew is at it again. Together they’re going to kick butt and take names. Maybe not in that order.

I love Rue. Her bond with Colbie, Clay and Asa grows with each book. I will say, shew, the amount of trouble that follows this group is banana pants—and yet—it makes the story all the better.

When someone shows up and puts her people in danger, Rue will do what’s needed to keep them safe. If her claws come out, you better watch yourself.

I like the way things unfold. You think, “oh, I knew it as…nope. Dang, I didn’t see that coming”. Maybe that’s just me but I like when it’s not what I think it is. Bad guys, monsters, jerks… the story has it all and we get to see the team acting and reacting to what’s happening. They’re a well oiled machine to say the least.

Wow, surprise ending.

This series gets better and better. Rue's Black Hat group is off to Charleston after whoever is making the kiddos disappear. There are new monsters, new dangers, and lots of hijinks. I fall in love with Clay, Colby, and Asa's demon more and more. Don't get me wrong, I love Rue and Asa, but the other three crack me up. And who can harden their heart to a demon who thinks "Wash, Brush, Braid" is Thanksgiving?

This book made me laugh, cry, smile, and sigh. It also kept my complete attention, with lots of action, surprises, and unexpected depths. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who likes lovable characters and a compelling storyline.
