Character Development

Love the book and the characters except for Morgan. I am so furious with her but the book overall is amazing

Amber's struggle to gain her powers and the assist given by her friends. The book is well written and conveys the emotions well.

Frustrating love story

I am reading all of Michelle Madows's books in order and this series is by far the most irritating love story 😅. I think it's more of a Stockholm syndrome story. Damians the worst. He put her under a love spell, trapped her, then was always mad at her, playing the victim and she was always acting like the guilty party like she owed him something. Same thing with Blaze and Morgan. Morgan did not owe him the knowledge of her past, she just met the guy. Neither girl ever stood up for themselves. It was so frustrating. I thought for sure, some point in the story Amber was going to come to the realization that she was being controlled and manipulated and blast Damian to a pulp... nope... Stockholm syndrome. 😂

non-stop guilt trips

2 female heroines berate themselves non-stop for not being honest with their boyfriends. There were good reasons that it made sense to be cautious with the truth. I’ve never seen a book where males would chastise themselves continuously for hiding the truth.
