One moment Kail was rolling his eyes as his girlfriend explained how romantic donating blood was, the next he was drowning in blood as his father summoned him back home. As if learning that he’d been born on one planet then banished to another as an infant wasn't traumatic enough, his father was now explaining that it was up to him to act as the messiah of his crumbling empire.

Even as Kail comes to terms with being ritualistically summoned back to the world which he was apparently born in, he is faced with yet more bloody awful realities. His delusional father’s convinced he’s destined to continue some grand legacy. He has one brother who wants to drag him into an active war zone, another who wants to make him a political pawn, and a sister who seems happy to use him to kick start a new religion.

Blood will flow freely as Kail discovers a common factor between each member of his narcissistic family. He has everything to offer them, and they have little to offer him. “Our blood is pure,” that’s what his father had told him. Yet if his family's blood was so potent, then why did all their schemes rely on his?

The world doesn’t need more delusional bloody rulers, it needs a pure blooded preacher.

Great story and fascinating characters!

From chapter three onward I was hooked! Great character drama and really interesting concepts throughout. Hoping for a sequel!
