The narration.

I like all the detail and the fact it is such a believable story. The characters and their interaction and the love story thread running through the novel from beginning to end. But the green eyed little girl with light brown hair that looked like Ezra…..I can’t figure her story.

A good story, but:

The Publisher's Summary does not match the content of the book. This is not about an Old West, or is it a historical novel. Not what I expected.

This is not the book described. It is not by Henry Chappell, it is not about the old west, it is about the kidnapping of somebody's wife and the imprisonment of a cook, a portraitist and someone else. If you are looking for a story by Henry Chappell, do not order this book.
