Book One of The Elderborn Saga
When a brutal supernatural murder shatters her quiet life, journalist Elara Kane is pulled into a hidden war between vampires, werewolves, and something far older. Marked by a dying Elder’s power, she begins hearing voices from beyond death—voices that change her blood, her destiny, and the fate of Evernight itself.
Hunted by vampire factions who believe she is the key to resurrecting an ancient god, Elara finds protection in two unlikely allies:
Lucien Devereux — a brooding, immortal vampire lord accused of killing the Elder he once loved.
Jax Mercer — a fiercely loyal werewolf whose instincts bind him to Elara in ways he doesn’t understand.
As Elara’s strange abilities grow, so does the danger around her. The city fractures into violence, old hierarchies collapse, and whispers of prophecy call her the first Elder-Born—a being destined to end the vampire age forever.
But Elara isn’t ready to be a savior. She’s barely surviving.
And when her blood awakens something monstrous, both Lucien and Jax must decide whether she is humanity’s last hope…
or the spark that will burn the world to ash.
Blood Moon Rising begins a dark fantasy saga of forbidden power, tragic romance, and a war between gods and monsters. Perfect for fans of Castlevania, The Witcher, and gothic supernatural epics.

I went into this book without knowing what to really expect. I had no familiarity with the author at all.
This is not your every day shifter, vampire, witch, etc book....no, not at all. This book has teeth, fangs, hands, magic sigils and they all wrap around you to keep you riveted.
This book lends itself to so much more depth regarding the characters now that they have been introduced...there is a path, not only to continue this saga but also to have offshoots to each character & the intricate relationships among them. I wish I had more to binge!
Ok now, I do think that although the narrator did well, I can't help but think this lends itself to a multi cast version also...some people like themand some font so it can't hurt. I believe it would help in the areas where there is dialogue from various characters so as to avoid all the she said, he said repeatedly which I found to detract a very little bit but enough to try to shake me out of how immersed I had gotten into the whole thing. Other than that, I have no negatives as the various relationships can be expanded upon in upcoming volumes. I, for one, can't wait for the next one!
Totally Immersed into it!!!
