Disappointed story line and short story length

I was introduced to the America Falls series about a year ago, 2025, Which at the time I believe went through book 11 at the time. After the conclusion of book 13, I was eager to see what the next steps of the main journey of the core part of the series continued. After hearing of the release of book 14, and then having to wait in many weeks just to find it on Audible. After the download of an only 4 hour audiobook, and then one and a half days of driving to conclude the entire book. I was disappointed in the fact that none of the main core story was introduced.
